TONIGHT:Community Meeting – How will major service cuts affect you?
The 2012 Toronto City budget contains major service cuts that will affect our community. You are invited to a community meeting to discuss these cuts.

Adam Vaughan, Toronto City Councillor

Cuts include:
58 student nutrition programs that help 14,000 kids
19,444 fewer library hours, less first-print material
Introduction of fees for children and youth at Priority Community Centres
17 of 29 Youth Outreach Workers eliminated, who mentor troubled youth
TTC fare hike and reduced service

Learn how these potential major service cuts can affect you, what your City Council is doing about it.

Finch West Subway Station Public Open House

DATE: Thursday, November 25th, 2010
TIME: 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
LOCATION: University City Recreation Centre, 453 Sentinel Rd.

The Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension (TYSSE) project will extend the TTC subway system from Downsview Subway Station to the City of Vaughan.

Toronto Transit Commission invites you to a Public Open House to view the final design of Finch West Station. Station designs for Sheppard West and York University Station will also be on display.

Take Transit:

From Finch Station, take Bus #36 Finch West to Sentinal Road and Finch Avenue and walk north to 453 Sentinal Road.

DiverseCity Fellows is a one-year action-oriented leadership program for rising city-builders who are deeply committed to enhancing their leadership abilities and collectively addressing issues that are critical to the future health and wealth of the Toronto region.

As a Fellow, you will participate in interactive learning sessions, networking events and a mentoring relationship with an experienced city-builder.

Throughout the program, you will connect with influencers and decision-makers across the GTA and form teams to design and implement a city-building action project of your own.
